Legacy Rooted in Tradition
Founded in 1959 as Timberlane Country Club, Timberlane Golf & Recreation holds a proud place in the history of the greater New Orleans area. Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the course stretches over 7,100 yards of beautifully contoured landscape. When play began in 1959, young oak trees lined the fairways — today, those same oaks stand tall, shaping each hole with character and definition.
Golfers enjoy four distinct sets of tees, accommodating every level of play, while navigating 17 water hazards and 80 strategically placed bunkers. Decades of careful maintenance and thoughtful updates have ensured that the course remains both challenging and enjoyable, all while preserving the timeless charm that has defined Timberlane since its beginning.
With its storied past, dedication to excellence, and enduring beauty, Timberlane Golf & Recreation proudly continues its legacy as a cornerstone of the New Orleans golfing community.
